Top Sub/Rotor Catch

All RAM top subs are bored for a float valve which eliminates the need for a float sub and one additional drill string connection.

The primary rotor catch shoulder is located inside the top sub above the pin thread. In the event of a motor back-off or connection fracture, everything below, including the top sub pin connection, will be retrieved.

A secondary rotor catch is also offered and will help retrieve the motor should the primary rotor catch fail.
